We've been following Diana for a couple years now and she's one of the nicest people we've had the pleasure of coming across in our blogging community. Really great and you need to stop by her site, right after her interview :-)
Let’s start with a few blog related questions
Why did you start blogging?
It was my husband’s idea! Back in early 2009, he suggested I start my own book review blog to keep track of my reading. I said, “What’s a blog?” I got online, did some research, and a year later Book of Secrets was launched.
How has your blog changed since you first started it?
When the blog started, it was strictly romances only. Now I review and feature an eclectic mix of fiction genres – contemporary, historical, women’s, literary, mystery, suspense, Gothics and romance.
What do your family/friends think of your blog?
They’re very supportive. After almost three years, my husband still reads all my posts. :-)
What do you like most/least about blogging?
Like MOST: Being a part of the book blogging community! I’ve made some fabulous friends over the past few years, and I love chatting about books (and life) with them.
Like LEAST: How time-consuming blogging can be. Last year it got to the point where I was so overwhelmed I had to take a step back. Now I’m doing less but enjoying it more!
Let’s get to know the blogger behind the blog, shall we?
Can you tell us about where you’re from?
I grew up in Georgia, but I’ve lived in the Midwest for the past 20 years.
What’s a typical day in your life like?
Right now I stay home with my kids, so I do a lot of “mom” stuff. My daughter is in 2nd grade, and my son goes to kindergarten half-day. I try to sneak some time for reading or blog hopping when they’re both at school. My evenings are spent hanging out with the family, and of course, more reading!
What is your favorite thing to do (aside from reading) in your down time?
Dinner dates with my husband. Girls night out with my two best friends. Playing with my kids. Doing yoga, even though I’m horribly inflexible. ;-) Daydreaming.
What was your first full on, geek out fan moment?
I love this question! I’d say it was finding out by chance that two of my new favorite authors blurbed part of my review in their latest books. Too cool!
You just won your dream vacation, all expenses paid. Where are you going?
On a tour of the British Isles for however long it takes to see everything!
Oh, we forgot to mention you get to take your fantasy man with you. So, who are you taking?
Sting. Yep, I’ve been in love with him since 1983. :-)
