Today we are thrilled to welcome author Jacquelyn Frank back to our blog. We're not only talking to her about her new series, Bodywalkers, but she'll also be giving away a signed copy of the first book in the series, Forbidden. Keep reading after the interview to find out how you can enter in to win a copy.
Who (or what?) are the Bodywalkers? Should I be afraid of them?
They are supernatural beings whose souls are sharing a host’s body. Meaning there are two souls, one human one supernatural, sharing the human’s body. If you are in a symbiotic relationship with the Bodywalkers of the Politic you are sharing awareness totally with the soul you Blend with. If, however, you become host to a Templar Bodywalker, your soul if fiercely dominated and you would be forced to simply watch what the Bodywalker does with your body, like a prisoner chained within.
Can you convince me to buy Forbidden in 10 words or less?
Hot, adventurous, civil war, magic and mayhem, sexy, sexy, sexy!!
How does Ram measure up against the heroes in your previous books?
Ram is loyal to a fault. It tears him up to find himself lusting and longing for a woman who is forbidden to him. His sense of honor and loyalty is very typical of my males in the Nightwalker books. That will certainly not change at all!
Is Docia a go out and have a great time on the town kind of gal or does she prefer to stay at home with a good book?
Home with a good book.
If Forbidden had a warning label, what would it say?
Warning: This is a detailed world for your imagination to devour. You will be tempted to call in sick in order to finish it once you start so…start in on a weekend, a holiday, or a long plane ride!
If you could host the soul of one of the many great women in history, whom would you choose?
Queen Elizabeth I
If books came with soundtracks, what songs would be on Forbidden's?
It’s funny but I really can’t think of one! It was actually the first book I’ve written where I hardly listened to any music at all! But I do know the Skylar Grey version of Coming Home is dominant for book 2 FOREVER.
Do you have any of those mantastic book covers of yours hanging on our wall?
Yes! JACOB and ADAM :-) My two RT Book Reviews nominations.
Would you want to live in any of the fictional words you've created?
My worlds are very dangerous places. I have enough trouble as it is navigating the human world!
Author Bio:
New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Frank is an old and decrepit 44 years old. She can’t remember shit, loves her eight cats to the point of lunacy, and lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She prides herself on being a crazy cat lady in the making (if not having already succeeded) and spends her free time rescuing teeny tiny kittens barely big enough to fill the inside of a toilet paper roll. You can watch for upcoming projects at www.jacquelynfrank.com or you can write to her at jackifrankwrites@gmail.com. If you’re writing her to complain about something, make sure you finish the book before you do ;) She loves to mess with your head.

I have always been fascinated with Ancient Egypt, and this book looks like a really interesting take on some of the mythology.
Jacquelyn, did you end up doing a lot of research on Egypt? Was it always something you were interested in or was it a new field for you?
How many books do you have planned for this series?
Sexy??? Just how sexy are we talking about? Characters in books nowadays have so much more fun than they used to, does it bother you at all? I know as a reader I appreciate it very much!
