War is horrible for everyone, but when the entities that are at war are gods, it raises the severity to an extreme level,. The younger gods declared war on the older gods with no sign of reconciliation in over 700 years. Each side was allowed to recruit any ware on earth with or without the mortal or immortals consent. That's what happened to Petra Robichaud. On day she's happy at home with her family the next she's stitching up immortals in the middle of a war of the gods.

Everything was business as usual till the day Galen of Delphi showed up on her operating table then everything changed.

The overall story was refreshingly new. Wail told all from Petra's point of view, the whole story takes place in the medical barracks. It's a different way of looking at the war. Most books focus on the alpha male fighting the war, not the heroine stitching up the casualties of that war. It's an amazing way of viewing it. I wouldn’t have normally thought that would be interesting but she made it intriguing.

I loved Galen, he was sexy and loyal. He didn't let anything deter him from his goal, weather that goal was to possess Petra or a to find the way to end the war. He wanted to end the war and save every one so badly he would be willing to risk his own life.

Petra was not my favorite. I felt she was too hard on Galen , I felt she should have trusted him better. I did love how she was so strong and didn't need anyone to rescue her she’d rather save them. I as always have a hard time likening the heroine, this book was no different. She was just so stubborn and set it her ways that I get aggravated with her often in the story. I just can’t handle stupid heroine decisions that risk every one because they are too proud to except help form the hero.

Overall I enjoyed the story. It was interesting blend of paranormal and the old TV show M.A.S.H. (mostly because Petra is working in a M.A.S.H unit of the immortal army) There is such a wide verity of paranormal beings your never board. In this world Angie Fox has created there is a sphinx, a werewolf, vampires, demi-gods, and many more. It's a very interesting mix of paranormal beings. You blend all of that with great action, a sexy romance and a bit of humor you get all the ingredients to make a very creative story. I am very interested to see what new adventure the next book will take us on.
