Gotta love those vampires. Can't get enough of 'em. What made you pick the name Bronx for the vampire?

OMG, this book sounds awesome. How did you come up with the concept?

Hey all,
I'm Ashley, the author and cover designer of this book :-)
Crimson Groves is a young adult urban fantasy. A friend of mine is from "The Bronx" NY and that's where I got the name—plus he felt like a Bonx as I wrote his scenes :-)
For the cover, I wanted a bleeding orange tree, with a shadowed face of Abby, the protagonist of the story. I worked with a graphic designer who came up with a bleeding orange (instead of an entire tree) so Abby's face would stand out better. I grew up on a 100acre orange grove/farm, so I named the neighborhood Abby lives in "The Groves"
I'm sure y'all already know why Crimson is in the title ;-)
Here's the link on Good Reads where it can be added to your shelf (and you can see the reviews from other readers): http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13241827-crimson-groves

Happy Reading :-)
