When everything u have is suddenly taken away from u in one night and you fear that it will never return there is no nothing you will not do for justice. That is exactly how Cassandra felt after her Michelangelo was shot in the head at their tattoo parlor. She was determined to seek revenge for him in hopes that maybe then he will open his eyes. But when see approaches a mamba about her revenge she finds out the hard was that everything comes with a price and revenge just may have the highest price of all.
This story was short and action packed. I loved Devlin he's got the whole bad boy battered soul thing going for him. This was a nice little bit to hold me over till the next in the Hoodoo series.
I don't think you need to have read any of the Hoodoo series to enjoy this short. There is carry over characters but you do not need any prior knowledge about them to enjoy the story in its whole.
