Meet the characters of The Maker’s Song series
Basics
Name: Dante Baptiste
Age: 23, damn near 24.
Height/Weight: 5’9 and, shit, dunno, chère. Never bothered to step on a scale. *shrugs*
Hair/Eye color: Black and brown.
Identifying physical marks: Got a small tat of a bat above my heart. Seven piercings in each ear (last time I counted, that is), black-painted fingernails.
Single or taken: Taken, for true.
Anything else note worthy: Aside from fangs and wings and bondage collar? Eyes go gold when using Fallen gifts. I was born vampire, so that makes me a True Blood, but I’m also Fallen on my father’s side, and a creawdwr.
Something a little more fun
Mexican or Italian: Being nightkind, I don’t need to eat, but I *do* like to taste what mortal friends are eating. Gotta admit, I’m partial to Cajun food. J’aime ça pimenté (meaning, I like it spicy.)
Beer or wine: Both are good, but I prefer absinthe. Has more kick for nightkind.
Whip cream or chocolate sauce: Whipped cream, yeah. More fun during play.
McDonalds or Burger King: Neither. Though . . . when hunting, I’m more likely to find a meal hanging around outside McDonald’s on Canal trying to sober up after partying on Bourbon Street. No Burger King in the Quarter.
Boxers, briefs, or commando: Commando or boxer-briefs. Demands on if I’m wearing leather, latex, or jeans.
Leather or spandex: *laughs* Leather, chère! Spandex is for bicycle messengers and delusional middle-aged mortal men, and hair band revivals.
Favorite hobby: Aside from sex? I don’t consider my music a hobby, it’s my passion. So maybe reading, spray painting police cars, playing tag.
Last book you read: Been kinda too busy to read lately, so probably Frank Herbert’s Dune (been catching up on classics). Oh! And Jeri Smith-Ready’s Bring on the Night. Love Ciara and Shane – they make me laugh. (In a totally good way.)
What you’re driving: Umm . . . nothing at the moment since I totaled my MG. Drove Lucien’s van and Von’s Harley. When things calm down, I’ll see about getting another car.
Last time you went to the movies: Fuck. Je sais pas. (And, before anyone says anything and I know they will, we don’t use the double negative in Cajun. No je ne sais pas. Just je sais pas.)
Last thing to make you smile: This questionnaire. The leather or spandex question. No, wait. That made me laugh. The last thing to make me smile would be Eerie-kitty—who just bumped up against my leg and mewed at me wanting his supper.
Team Edward or Team Jacob: To see who gets the girl? Team Neither. I think the action between Edward and Jacob would be hotter.
Facebook or Twitter: Twitter. I can post real quick and move on. Facebook’s good for letting fans know about Inferno gigs, though.
Xbox, Playstation or Wii: None. Too busy with music to mess with games.
Tattoos or piercings: Small bat tat over my heart, tons of ear piercings.
Movie star you’d like to go on a date with: *snorts*
Baton Rouge or New Orleans: N’awlins, hands down, chère.
Favorite body part on opposite sex: This a trick question? *a wicked and tilted smile* Eyes, then the lips. The line of the throat.
Stephanie or Athenna: *laughs* Oh, no. Ain’t going there. Both of y’all are beaucoup fun and très jolie.
Basics
Name: Von McGuinn
Age: I was turned 40 years ago when I was 31, so I guess that makes me 71. Still jailbait, nightkind-wise. *laughs*
Height/Weight: 6’2, 200 lbs of pure nomad muscle. *flexes biceps.*
Hair/Eye color: Brown and green.
Identifying physical marks: Crescent moon tattoo underneath my right eye, mustache framing my mouth. Fangs. Clan tattoos all over my body, doll. *winks*
Single or taken: Very single, darlin’..
Anything else note worthy: Besides being nomad and a llygad—nightkind warrior-bards and historians? *sweeps a hand up his body* Just all this, doll. The complete package.
Something a little more fun
Mexican or Italian: When I was mortal, I loved Mexican food.
Beer or wine: Beer, but I’m fond of bourbon even more, doll.
Whip cream or chocolate sauce: Gotta agree with Dante on this one – whipped cream. I can be very creative with a can of whipped cream. *wicked grin*
McDonalds or Burger King: Man, gotta agree with Dante on this one too—neither. Popeye’s was the fast food I used to love.
Boxers, briefs, or commando: Boxers, baby-doll.
Leather or spandex: *snorts* Leather. As if any other answer is possible.
Favorite hobby: Dammit, Dante got all the good answers like “aside from sex?” Oh. How about, aside from flipping people shit? *laughs* I still like hitting the road on my Harley, drinking, reading, and I dig studying the stars. Astronomy fascinates the shit outta me.
Last book you read: I’m with Dante on this one too – ain’t had much time to read lately, but the last book I did read was The Good Pirates of the Forgotten Bayous by Ken Wells. Non-fiction.
What you’re driving: My Harley Fatboy.
Last time you went to the movies: It’s been ages. Doll. Wanna ask me out? *winks*
Last thing to make you smile: Watching Dante give the cat way too much food.
Team Edward or Team Jacob: Who? What? Is that some reality show on TV? I don’t watch much . . . Oh. Dante said it’s from the Twilight series of books. Ain’t read ‘em, doll. *listens to Dante explain the difference between the teams, looks indignant* So I hafta choose between a sparkly vamp and a sulky werewolf? I vote for Team Who-Gives-A-Damn. Let the chick choose.
Facebook or Twitter: *snorts* Neither. No social networking for this nomad, darlin’. Socializing, hell yes. Networking, nope.
Xbox, Playstation or Wii: Wii.
Tattoos or piercings: See basics above. Got tats everywhere. *winks*
Movie star you’d like to go on a date with: Can’t think of a single one. All seem too delicate or too fake.
Baton Rouge or New Orleans: New Orleans.
Favorite body part on opposite sex: I love looking into the eyes, but I appreciate a lovely pair of tits, too.
Stephanie or Athenna: On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – Stephanie – and on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday – Athenna. On Sunday, both of you dolls. *grins*
Basics
Name: Heather Wallace.
Age: 31. I’ll be 32 in October.
Height/Weight: 5’4, 110 lbs
Hair/Eye color: Red and blue
Identifying physical marks: Um . . . none that I can think of. And I won’t put down what Dante just suggested. *laughs*
Single or taken: Taken.
Anything else note worthy: Former FBI agent and profiler. Now I’m bonded—mentally and emotionally—with Dante. An unsettling experience at times. I’ve always wanted to be a voice for the dead, a voice for justice, but after I met Dante, I learned that the living need a voice too.
Something a little more fun
Mexican or Italian: Italian, but I’m becoming fond of Cajun food.
Beer or wine: Beer, definitely.
Whip cream or chocolate sauce: Whipped cream and you just gave me some very delicious ideas. *grins*
McDonalds or Burger King: Burger King. Or Wendy’s. I love Wendy’s spicy chicken nuggets.
Boxers, briefs, or commando: Um . . . bikini panties.
Leather or spandex: *laughs* Leather. I agree with the guys. Even working out, I’d wear sweats and not spandex.
Favorite hobby: I like hitting the gun range and doing some target shooting, I love working on classic muscle cars, I enjoy attending rock shows, and my guilty pleasure ate fashion magazines.
Last book you read: I’m in the same boat as Dante and Von – not much time to read lately. I think the last book I read was The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult.
What you’re driving: Nothing at the moment, not after having to abandon my Pontiac Trans Am in Oregon. *sighs*
Last time you went to the movies: About two months ago.
Last thing to make you smile: Eerie – playing the smooth operator with Dante.
Team Edward or Team Jacob: Team Edward, because that’s who Bella wanted from the beginning.
Facebook or Twitter: Twitter. I don’t have to deal with annoying requests to play Farmville or whatever.
Xbox, Playstation or Wii: Xbox.
Tattoos or piercings: No tattoos. And only my ears are pierced. *looks at Dante* Once. On each side.
Movie star you’d like to go on a date with: I always thought Johnny Depp would be a fascinating date. If I was single. *laughs and blushes* Dante just said that if I ever met Johnny Depp I could do as I wished with his blessing.
Baton Rouge or New Orleans: New Orleans.
Favorite body part on opposite sex: The eyes, first, definitely, followed by the lips. Then I take a step back and check out the ass. *winks*
Stephanie or Athenna: *laughs* Love ya both!
Basics
Name: Lucien De Noir.
Age: My little secret.
Height/Weight: 6’8 and, like my son, I haven’t bothered to step on a scale.
Hair/Eye color: Black and black.
Identifying physical marks: Wings, waist-length black hair. Eyes turn gold when manifesting Fallen nature.
Single or taken: Single.
Anything else note worthy: Known as the Nightbringer, I’m also Dante’s father and Fallen and once ruled Gehenna until Lilith tricked her way onto the throne.
Something a little more fun
Mexican or Italian: Most certainly Italian. And not the Olive Garden variety.
Beer or wine: Wine.
Whip cream or chocolate sauce: Both. Each compliments the other.
McDonalds or Burger King: *shudders* Neither. Fast food is extremely unhealthy, no matter if you’re mortal or Fallen. I don’t require food, but I do eat for pleasure.
Boxers, briefs, or commando: Boxer-briefs.
Leather or spandex: Neither. I prefer well-cut slacks, but if I have to choose, it’ll be leather. *laughs* I’m trying to picture Von in spandex.
Favorite hobby: Board games, chess, in particular. I also like to paint, believe it or not. I haven’t had much time for that lately. I enjoy reading, surfing the net, dancing.
Last book you read: I believe it was Lamentation by Ken Scholes.
What you’re driving: Nothing fancy. A van.
Last time you went to the movies: It’s been months. I hope that changes soon.
Last thing to make you smile: Thinking of Von in spandex and chaps.
Team Edward or Team Jacob: I’ve actually read these books. I think Bella is too young to be making a decision like this. Why can’t she date both? Take her time? Grow up a little?
Facebook or Twitter: Facebook.
Xbox, Playstation or Wii: Wii – I especially like the archery game.
Tattoos or piercings: None.
Movie star you’d like to go on a date with: Sigourney Weaver. Tall, elegant, she seems rich with experience.
Baton Rouge or New Orleans: New Orleans, though Baton Rouge has charm.
Favorite body part on opposite sex: Her legs, long and smooth and shapely. But the eyes truly are the windows into the soul.
Stephanie or Athenna: I have a knee for each of you m’selles to perch upon. *winks*

I am seriously loving this series. How many books do you plan to be in this series. I'm hoping for a lot. :)
miztik_rose@yahoo.com
LOVE IT! The interviews were fantastic! Can't wait to read the new book and catch up with the gang!
Do you plan on centering just on Dante and Heather (which I love) or do you see Von or Lucien getting love interest too?
Thanks! mmafsmith@gmail.com
Great post. I have the first three books of this series and I hope to get to them before the middle of next month. Thanks for the giveaway.
bittenyparanormalromance(@)gmail(.)com
Lol, I'm trying to picture Von in spandex too!!!
I literally cannot wait for Etched in Bone to come out!!! I neeeeeed more Dante!!! ~drools~
Your writing is awesome Adrian, I really feel like your characters come alive on the pages :D
jesyka_james@live.com.au
I love this series. I never had the chance to read a series from when it came out and kept a consistent track of the series before. I was wondering what was it that inspired you to write this series and where you get your inspirations from with each new book in the series?
Love the questionnaires! Each character’s personality really shines through, even with basic questions. Very clever.
I second Mary’s question – how many more books are planned for this series? I fell in love with these characters back in ’09 and would love to be able to read about them for many years to come. (I am also a huge fan of your Hoodoo series, so any book into on that series would also be appreciated!)
amandasbookblog[AT]gmail[DOT]com
Really, this is one of the best series in creation, if for no other reason than the characters are a freaking riot! <3 Wonderful post.
I'm dying to know how many books will be in the series, too...but more than that - where is Dante's Twitter profile? I was so excited when I saw that, that I went to look it up, but got nada. :( I know some authors (such as Mrs. Devon Monk, with her character Shamus), have character profiles so fans can interact with them and see them in a day-to-day light...and I'd love to see one for Dante (since Von doesn't like it :P), if he doesn't have one already.
saint_of_gemini[at]yahoo[dot]com
Squeeee! Tonight at midnight plus one minute, I'll be reading EIB! Don't put me in the contest, I just came by to a a fan girl!
*laughs, also picturing von in spandex, curled up with a copy of twilight* sorry, got a little carried away with that one...anyway, loved the deets on everyone and adrian, you totally rock! ok, question time, do you ever imagine your characters doing your normal daily things, like grocery shopping and such?
love you!
dragoness007@yahoo.com
Hi Mary, thanks for joining us! I'm so glad you're loving the series.
I plan to continue with this series for a long time (continued sales will ensure that). I have no end in mind.
Thanks again!
Hi Maria (pronounced Mariah),
Great to hear from you again! The story centers around Dante and Heather, of course, but romance could be in the cards down the line for Lucien and Von, as well.
Laurie,
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you enjoy the books when you get to them!
I love seeing what the characters really think when there's not an adventure on - there's something squee-worthy thing about my favourite characters tryingt to decide between Burger King or MacDonalds - or not as the case may be! :-)
I'm alway curious though why New Orleans seems to attract so many supernaturals...something in the water...?
notanotherbookblog(at)hotmail(dot)co(dot)uk
Jesyka,
Hey, great to have you here with us! Thanks so much for all your kind words and your support.
Yeah, Von (or anyone) in spandex. *shudders*
Absolutely LOVE this series!!!! Dem Cajun boys done makes me shiver darlin'(in a wonderful way)!!
Are you going to be going audio any time soon? 'Course they would need a sexy man with a Cajun accent to read this properly to get that shiver just right!!
AND since you will be a definite keeper author, any hard back books heading our way (even book club editions)?
Ducky (Denise) at duckyspassion@gmail.com
Hi Marranda,
Thanks so much! I'm flattered that you've been following the series so closely!
Music was the initial inspiration to write the series. Nine Inch Nails provided the emotional soundscape from which Dante was born. I always start with characters, then tell their story. And this story centered around Dante.
As for inspiration for the other books, I'm following the storyline of the previous books, but usually I have one vivid image in my mind I work toward - like the Fallen Stonehenge, for example.
Thanks for the great questions!
Amanda,
Hey, thanks for visiting! I'm really glad you enjoyed the dossiers. Dante, Von, Heather, and Lucien each had fun with them. ;)
I don't have an end in mind for The Maker's Song series. As long as there is a story to tell, I would like to keep writing them.
I'm glad you've enjoyed the hoodoo series too! The second book, BLACK HEART LOA, will be out June 28, 2011. I hope to continue with this series as well!
Hi Saint of Gemini,
Thanks tons for the good words!
I plan to continue with the series as long as there is a story to tell. Which should be a good long time.
Dante doesn't have a Twitter profile yet and that's my fault. I'll get around to that and a Facebook page for Inferno soon. Thanks for the timely push. ;)
D.B.
I can't thank you enough for your support!
If any of you haven't read her Vampire in America series, I strongly suggest (no, insist) that you check it out. Awesome books!!
Hi Conn,
Thanks so much for swinging by! The picture you painted of Von in spandex curled up with Twilight really cracked me up! Thanks for that!
Yes, I do imagine my characters doing ordinary, every day things, like grocery shopping, filling up the gas tank, doing laundry, cleaning or not cleaning their rooms. LOL.
Somehow Dante always makes the most mundane things - stepping into the market to grab a bottle of black nail polish - seem sexy.
Great question!
Love ya back!
Hi Mel,
Glad you enjoyed the dossiers! So much fun (thanks to Athenna and Steph).
There is a vibe about New Orleans that draws the unusual. The place seems steeped in mystery and magic and preternatural otherness.
Maybe it IS the water! ;)
Hey Ducky,
I'm with you on the Cajun men. ;)
As far as audio goes, my agent is looking into it. I agree - a narrator who could do justice to the Cajun would be essential!
As far as hardcover books - not that I know of at this point. But who knows what the future will bring, right?
Love the dossiers! I miss my miss my hometown often and your books books always let me visit there anytime...there is no place in the world like New Orleans!
Anxoiusly awaiting EIB and BHL!!!!
I love having you by Adrian. Your posts always crack me up. I can't get the picture of Von in spandex out of my head now. Hehe, I love that man :-)
I love D.B.'s books and think more people should be reading them!!
Stephanie
Hi Addiedean,
Great to hear from you again! Thanks tons for your support. I totally understand missing New Orleans.
Thanks to you and Athenna for having me here, Steph, and for coming up with such great questions for the dossiers. ;)
Von loves ya back, doll!
oh I can't wait to read your newest book, I've read book #1 and I loved it! hope to read the other books soon! and I fell in love with the covers the first time I saw them :)
greetings, Ina
I am so glad that I picked up A Rush of Wings. It is an unique world. I can not wait for the next one, and the next one.
Do you ever see Dante and Heather having a child in the future?
elizabethgr@sbcglobal.net
Oh I cant wait to read the 4th book I'm so exited waited for it along time!
elizabethcerna2011@gmail.com
I love the series, and great post! If I hadn't read these books before, I definitely would after reading that. I was curious as to the word origin of creawdwr. Is that something from legend/myth, is it a word you made up that is similar to something from myth, or did you make it up altogether?
b(dot)cardone(at)hotmail(dot)com
I loved this interview, the answers about team edward or jacob were great.
I was wondering what actors/actresses do you see playing them if there was a movie made.
twoofakind12@yahoo.com
Love the questionnaire, hope there are more interviews in the future.
Read the 1st book & fell in love.
Great post. I recently got the first 2 book in The Makers Song and am going to have to move them up in the TBR list now.
bacchus76 at myself dot com
Hi Ina,
Thanks for dropping by! I'm so glad you enjoyed A Rush of Wings!
Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks so much for your comments! I could see Dante and Heather having a child some day in the future. Now, how *they'd* feel about that . . . ;)
Elizabeth (the second one),
Thanks for being here! I truly appreciate your support!
Hi Bethany,
So glad you enjoyed the post! Creawdwr is a word I made up altogether using Welsh and Irish roots for 'creator'.
It's part of my mythos for The Maker's Song.
Hi Debbie,
So glad you dropped by! Y'know, to be honest, I think unknowns would have to play the characters if the series was ever made into a movie of TV series. I can't think of actors off-hand to fit the bill.
Hi kimikimi,
So glad you enjoyed A Rush of Wings! Stephanie and Athenna are awesome and have had me on their blog numerous times. I'm sure we'll continue the tradition.
Hi Donnas,
Thanks for dropping by and I'm thrilled to have A Rush of Wings and In the Blood moved up in your TBR list. Thanks!
I loved the interview! I laughed most of the time! XD And his answer to the Team Jacob or Edward made my day hahahahahah!
sweet.sayumi@yahoo.com.br
I loved the interviews. What a great idea! Can't wait to start reading the series! They sound irresistible!
This is my favorite series & characters of all time! I've read the series from beginning to end with each new book that comes out & sometimes I pick them up to just read passages. I'll be at the bookstore tomorrow when it opens to get Etched in Bone. I'm dying to know what happens next...
I love the stuff you do for fans, Adrian. You bring the characters to life. So, thanks.
(And Dante? Je t'aime.) ;)
Hi, I am agree to read your series especially after reading the character interviews they give you such insight to the characters. My question and I'm sorry if its been asked but If you had the opportunity to write outside your norm genre what would it be and why?
vampiremistress2010(at)gmail(dot)com
This sounds like a good series. I have not read it before.
Lane
moiraethefates(AT)gmail(DOT)com
Oh an new author!!!! I love finding new authors.... Thank you for sharing Adrian with us.. So putting this book on my TBR pile!!
Thank you,
Kelly
crazybookfairy(AT)gmail(DOT)come
Welcome, Petit!
So glad you enjoyed the interview! Was it Dante, Von, or Lucien's response to Team Edward/Jacob that made you laugh?
BADklv,
thanks so much for dropping by! I hope you enjoy the series!
Great interview. Please enter me in contest. I would love to read your books. Do you have any other books coming out? Tore923@aol.com
I loved the surveys, and I am very happy to see that everyone knows the proper use for whipped cream. :)
Von's answer for Twilight was the best. I bet that sums up about 90% of all guys. lol
heatwave96(at)hotmail.com
Unseelieme.
Thank you so much for your support! I really appreciate it!
And, the characters feel alive to me too.
Dante sends kisses.
Hi BHLmistress,
Thanks so much for your comments and support!
I think I would like to write historical fantasy. I LOVE history, making it come alive, and experiencing it.
Thanks for the question!
Lane,
Thanks for swinging by! I hope you'll give the series a try. :)
Kelly,
Thanks! The first book in the series is A Rush of Wings! I hope you'll give it a try.
Hi Tore,
So glad you dropped by and I'm glad you enjoyed the interview!
Yes, I have another series beside The Maker's Song. I have the hoodoo series about a hoodoo apprentice in the Louisiana bayou and all the trouble she gets in. The first book was Black Dust Mambo and the second book, Black Heart Loa, will be out June 28, 2011.
Hi heatwave16,
So great to hear from you again! Thanks for your support.
Yup, they all seem to be well-versed in the uses of whipped cream. ;)
Von cracks me up too! (And I think you're right about his response to Twilight.)
Thank you so much for doing these interviews! I really appreciate you doing them from the characters POV. I have read and re-read you Maker's series many times and cannot wait until the next book. My question would be if you have any plans for a twitter account for the guys (and Heather) or even more blogs with Dante (or any of the others) on your site any time in the future?
Thank you again!
Dandilyon
moobooblakeATyahooDOTcom
Will there be a spot in the book where Dante says something to Dark Tommy of Saints of Ruin? I know that they play in the bar, I was just wondering they meet as well.
Silly me forgot to leave my email address kim @ overallbeauty.com
Amazing series!!
I've been waiting for this one to come out, count me in! tWarner419@aol.com
Hi Dandilyon,
Wow! Thanks so much for your support and your kind words! Doing the interview with the characters is always fun!
Yes, I plan to get a Twitter account for Dante and Heather and maybe Von, plus I plan to start a Facebook page for Inferno.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hey Kim,
Great to hear from you again! Tommy and Dante don't actually get to speak to each other, although it's clear that they know each other. Plus, they *do* share a kiss.
Hi Tetewa,
Thanks for dropping by! I appreciate your support!
I enjoyed the interviews, it was fun getting to know more about the characters in this fantastic series.
Barbed1951 at aol.com
Hi, Adrian! Awesome interview! Love the characters and all your books. I hope some of these Twilight remarks will find their way into the books, they are too cool for school ;)) All the best,
Karina
impy80(at)hotmail(dot)com
Barbara,
Thanks so much!
Kara-karina,
So glad you enjoyed the interview! And you never know where their comments will end up. ;)

what type of painting does Lucien do? and will we be seeing some in the future?(in the books, later)
mdmoon@charter.net
see you in Club Hell
Moriah
I simply love this series. Your an amazing author and just have that exciting "IT" factor when you write. The characters and story line and everything just come to together so wonderfully. So my question is to you is When your writing your books, do the character ever just seem to come out at you and help write or even rewrite their part in the book?
Opps..forgot the email..sorry..
LadyVampire2u AT gmail DOT com
I fell for Dante because welllllll he reminds me of my better half who lets just say all of it remind me of him and it really must be in the water
I have to say tho i lovd black dust mambo and the ladies r right every cover is squee worthy

mortalsinn@yahoo.com
I haven't read any of your books... but I'm glad I read your survey today as I now feel that I must. I'd love to win one! Does it matter if they're read in order? Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks!
Could Von be any more adorable, sexy, incredible??? I think i just fell in love. Thanks for the awesome interview!!! WOW!
I love all of the answers these characters gave and I think I'm completely smitten with Von already. I need to get these books ASAP. :)

Adrian,
I'm really looking forward to reading the 4th book in the series. The first three were fantastic.
Please enter me in the giveaway.
justpeachy36@yahoo.com
Such a fun way to get to know each of the characters. I can't wait to read Dante's story.
caity_mack at yahoo dot com
I am so very excited about EIB & BHL!!!!
Hi Moriah, (Pirate Queen1)
Thanks for stopping by! If things ever quiet down, Lucien would love to get back to his relaxing hobby. He likes to work in oils and likes to do landscapes.
Hi LadyVampire2U,
Thanks so much for your comments and for your support!
As for your question, no - it doesn't seem that the characters ever direct the writing or rewrite their scenes, it's more like I'm looking through their eyes. I know where the story needs to go, but in looking through each character's eyes, I can be absolutely true to their personalities.
So they don't come out per se, they are always in. If that makes sense!
Thanks for the question!
Hey SiNn,
Great to hear from you, as always! Thanks so much for the love for Dante and it's so cool that he reminds you of your better half. ;)
Dante was inspired by the music of Nine Inch Nails.
Lindalou,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the interview and would like to read the books!
You should start with book one, A Rush of Wings, followed by In the Blood, Beneath the Skin, and Etched in Bone.
If you win, just let Athenna and Steph know you'd like a copy of A Rush of Wings instead of Etched in Bone.
Hey Serena!
Wonderful to have you here, as always!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the interview. They all had a great time - Von especially.
April,

And thanks tons for dropping by here and showing your support!
I love love love this series and can't wait to get my hands on this. Will we get to see more of Von and his story at some point? I am so intrigued with him. I would also love to see more of Annie. Do you have any plans for her? I have such a soft spot for her

If your books were made into movies. what actors would you want to play the main characters?

Hi Jolene,
Thanks so much for your comments! I'm glad you're enjoying the books.
I hope to do a book about Von, but will probably start with short stories I can post online. Annie will have a continued role in the series.
Teril,
Glad you enjoyed the interview! I also hope you enjoy the books. Start with A Rush of Wings (Book One).
Thanks so much!
Kerstin!
Aw, thanks so much!! I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support! <3
Hi Marlene,
Thanks for dropping by! I think unknowns would have to play the characters if the books were ever made into movies.
Nothing to thank me for, Adrian, you put in the work, I only speak the truth!

Wow, I think all my questions were answered already. LoL I am happy to hear that you plan on continuing the series for a while and don't have an end in sight right now.
I loved the post, it's awesome to see more of Dante, Heather, Von & Lucien outside the series. I especially love Dante and Heather. And hehe....Von in spandex...
Thanks for the giveaway and keep up the great work Adrian, The Maker's Song is an awesome series!

I would like to know about your writing process and whether you have a clear idea of what to write or if the story progresses as you write.
Thanks:)

This post really made the characters come alive for me and made me laugh. I haven't read any of the books yet, but the story and the characters sound like something I'd enjoy. I'll definitely have to get my hands on A Rush of Wings and start reading.
