We decided to change things up a bit with our Weekly Recap post. We will now be sharing what books we got during our recap of the week (bye bye Got Books?). Also, instead of just listing things off like before we will be going over some of our favorite posts, giveaways, book and movie news and anything else that peeked our interest during the past week in our recap. We hope this will add a more personal touch to the post.

This past week at Paranormal Haven
We kicked off the week with a guest post & giveaway from author Denise Verrico. We also began working on our new blog design and introduced Quick Bites. There were also a few reviews thrown in of Awaken Me Darkly by Gena Showalter, Stronger Than Sin by Caridad Pineiro and Tempted By Fate by Kate Perry.
We ended out the week by thanking all the authors who participated in our Halloween event and threw in one last giveaway for those who were willing to take the time to fill out our survey. Want a chance to review an ARC of Eternal Flame by Cynthia Eden? Then check out this post.
Blog update
Have you noticed the new design? We did more than are usually changing of the header and background. We cleaned up our sidebars (and will continue to do so), added a new blog button and a few extra items to our navigation bar. We now have an About Us page that has all the places you can find us on the web. We also added a Books We Love page. There you will find authors and series we have enjoyed and you can also leave a comment and give us a heads up to a book/series we may have not come across yet.

Cover talk
Fans of Ilona Andrews' Kate Daniels series will love this one if you haven't already seen it. She placed the cover for the new book in the series, Magic Slays, on her website. Magic Slays will hit bookstores on May 31st 2011. We really need to get start on this series.
Ok this isn't a new cover but it's new to Paranormal Haven so hang with me. I (I=Stephanie) LOVE Sherrilyn Kenyon's The League series, not to mention her Dark Hunter series but I'm not feeling this cover. I think the first 3 covers of the the books look great but this one looks to much like Bad Moon Rising's. It's not just me who thinks this right? Of course it won't stop me from pick up the book. Heck, the author goddess could have a cover of a dog cleaning himself and I'd still be at the bookstore on release day pestering the clerk for my copy.
Have you caught the Fever?
Although we haven't read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series (I know shame on us!) we know there are some die hard fans out there. For fans of the series or people like us who just haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, Fiction Vixen and Smexy Books are hosting a read along and discussion of the series. Yes, you really must start reading the Ilona Andrews Kate Daniel series, as well as the Edge Series - you don't know what you are missing! The husband and wife team write phenomenal books, they are in a class of their own. Fabulous storytelling, exceptional..what more can I say.
I'm so glad everyone is liking the new look. We knew it was time to do some cleaning up so we made sure that it would be a noticeable change :-)
