Quotes from some of our favorite books
"You're welcome to try, my lord." She shoved him with her shoulders, catching him off balance and he faltered back a pace. Daisy opened the door but stopped to look at him. "However, I doubt that you could handle me. Somehow I think you prefer your women either unavailable or subservient. I am neither."
- Moonglow by Kristen Callihan
"Not Dracula," I said with a faint smile as I turned around. "Vlad Tepesh, former voivode of Wallachia and the most arrogant, deadly, frightening man I've ever met."
His lips curled with disdainful amusement. "Compliments won't sway me any more than the word please, Leila."
"You take those as compliments?" Gretchen was incredulous.
"Of course." His smile bared his fangs. "She named all of my best qualities."
- Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost
"I know what the mating means now. I'm yours, for as long as you have breath. If you don't want to be tied to me, you'd best run now. I plan to make you mine, Ophelia, and I don't trust myself to play fair." - Hunter's Prey by Moira Rogers
"This is playing dirty, darling." He withdrew only to surge back, thrusting hard enough to inch her up the bed. "I'll fuck you every way a man's invented and a few God hoped we'd never figure out. Anything to make you beg for more." - Hunter's Prey by Moira Rogers
“You cannot leave me. The world would never survive my wrath.”
-Burn The Night by Jocelynn Drake
“So ….. if you could eat that slice of cake off anyone’s six-pack abs, who would it be?”
“Oooo. I like this game.” Her gaze shifted, caresses Layne’s stretched-out length. “Anyone?”
“Yup. Anyone but Layne.”
“Phooey. Spoilsport.”
“If anyone is eating cake off his goddamned abs, it’s gonna be me.”
“I’ll be sure and tell him that. I’m betting it’ll please him to no end”
“You do and ill-“
“If you’re going to eat cake off my goddamned abs, I’d prefer red velvet”
-Black Heart Loa by Adrian Phoenix
“…since you ruined one of nails when you yanked that damned gun out of my hands, you owe me a manicure, Shug. And dessert of my choice at Mama’s House of Cake”.
“The manicure, sure, but cake?”
“Mmm-hmm. For Pain and suffering”
-Black Heart Loa by Adrian Phoenix
"Before we go, I gotta know: If mind-reading abilities are real, there's something else I wondered if fiction got right about vampires-"
"Ask me if I sparkle and I'll kill you where you stand," Bones cut him off with utmost seriousness.
-This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Roland was out of his element here. For the second time today, he found himself faced with someone who needed comfort and he was still uncertain how to render it.
"you don't want a hug, do you?" he asked uneasily.
Marcus's look seemed to question his sanity. " Hell, no."
Roland nearly wilted with relief. "Good."
Marcus produced a half smile. "I should have said yes and dredged up a few tears just to watch you squirm."
-Darkness Dawns by Dianne Duvall
"That's wicked."
"That's nothing." He released her and took a step back. "Wicked is what happens when I catch you."
"If you catch me," she countered, her mind already whirling with the sensual possibilities.
"I'll always catch you." Quiet. Sure.
-Deadlock by Moira Rogers
"Oh, man there's a marathon of Beaches running tomorrow night. Can we go after ten so I can see it once all the way through?"
Everyone in the room turned to the blond-and-black haired guy, who was propped in the corner, massive arms over his chest.
What," he said. "Look, it's not Mary Tyler Moore, 'kay? So you can 't give me shit."
Vishous, the one with the black glove on his hand, glared across the room. "It's worse than Mary Tyler Moore. And to call you and idiot would be an insult to half-wits around the world."
Are you kidding me? Bette Midler rocks. And I love the ocean. Sue me."
Vishous glanced at the king. "You told me I could beat him. You promised."
"As soon as you come home," Wrath said as he got to his feet, "we'll hang him up by his armpits in the gym and you can use him as a punching bag."
"Thank you, baby Jesus."
Blond-and-Black shook his head. "I swear, one of these days I'm going to leave."
As one, the Brothers all pointed to the open door and let silence speak for itself.
"You guys suck."
— J.R. Ward (Lover Avenged)
"Some things are destined to be -- it just takes us a couple of tries to get there."
-Love Mine, J.R. Ward

I see that you like Gena Showalter. You should read her other three series as well: Atlantis (4 books), Extraordinary Girl (2 books) & the YA series Intertwined (2 books so far).
Also Rachel Vincent has a great YA series called Soul Screamers.
Good authors are Fecility Heaton and Rae Lori, they both have websites to check out!! Nora Roberts did a really good series that is called the Circle Trilogy, it was creepy!! I'm reading Erin Kellison right now, her Shadow series, different but interesting! Thanks, I hope someone enjoys these as much as I did!!!
You guys should check out Laurell K. Hamilton both her Anita Blake series, in which vampires are accepted as legal citizens in the U.S., and her Merry Gentry series, which focuses on faery princess Meredith Gentry. I think you would love them! Thx :)
Hi all... I've been reading almost all of the books mentioned but I missed The nightwalkers, from Jacquelyn Frank, Primal Instinct, from Rhyannon Byrd and My Immortal Series, from Carolyn Jewel. Great books!
I'm glad to see you have some less known series from Tate Halloway and Carolyn Crane.
I also LOVE Devon Monk's Allie Beckstrom series. It's a magic series.
I've been looking for more paranormal romance series' to read. I'm glad I came across this site. Looks like I have myself a nice list to keep me occupied! Thanks. :D
Glad to see the Black Dagger Brothers on the list. ;)
